Fedorovo Resources, the operator of Fedorova Tundra, invites stakeholders to take part in online consultations on Thursday, 19 August, at 12:00–2:00 pm Moscow time. During the coronavirus pandemic, the consultations will take place online, in accordance with the recommendations of international financial institutions (IFIs).
Stakeholder consultations are held as part of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) in compliance with the requirements of international lending agencies, including the performance standards of the International Finance Corporation (IFC). In June 2021, Fedorovo Resources launched the comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment of the Project to Develop the Fedorova Tundra PGM Deposit. To conduct the assessment, the Company has engaged the Ecoline Environmental Assessment Centre.
The Report on Preliminary Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (scoping report) will be unveiled at an online stakeholder consultation, covering the following topics:
· project implementation plan,
· support infrastructure facilities,
· natural sites and local communities affected,
· expected environmental and social impact,
· scope and content of the upcoming comprehensive assessment to be conducted at the next stage of the project.
